Loo's Hainanese Curry Rice
Where? Tiong Bahru Market
What I usually order: Rice + Pork Chop + Chap Chye
Rating: A+
Expect to queue for about 30 minutes or more during peak hours. The uncle remembers my order.
Bonus: Grade A doesn't do justice. Too delicious. Will die for more.

Uncle Beh's Pork Noodle
Where? Orchard Gateway, Basement, Foodcourt
What I usually order: Pork Noodle
Rating: A
Unique taste! This is not your typical Bak Chor Mee. The noodles are drenched in dark sauce and you can taste the freshness in the meat.

Puncak Best Noodles
Where? Far East Plaza, Level 5
What I ordered: Claypot Chicken Rice
Rating: B
Chicken Rice that comes in a Claypot? It is so hot that you get these charred bits with the dark soy sauce which is the best part.
What I ordered: Stir Fried Hor Fun
Rating: B
It comes with Chai Por! Nuff said.

Ice Lab
Where? Far East Plaza, Level 1, at the corner.
What I ordered: Spicy Ramen
Rating: A
One of the best "Maggie Mee" in the area. Although one time they had forgotten to add the seasoning to my noodles and it tasted very bland until I mentioned it to the staff, who then pass me 1 packet of the seasoning... It has luncheon meat, fish cake in it.

Zhao Wan Jian Mian
Where? 148 Jalan Bukit Merah
What I ordered: Dumpling Noodles
Rating: A
You can taste the prawn in the dumpling. Sauce isn't too thick, and noodles are springy. Questionable service, though. :(

Punggol Nasi Lemak
Where? Capitol
What I ordered: Nasi Lemak - Wings, Luncheon Meat, Ikan Bilis, Otah, Fish Cake
Rating: A
The staffs need to be more flexible! If you did not say that you do not want chilli when ordering, they will insist on adding it. If you did not say that you do not want cucumber when ordering, they will insist on adding it. Otherwise, food is a definite yum.

YY Kafei Dian
Where? 37 Beach Road
What I ordered: Fried Bee Hoon, Kaya Bun, Curry Puff, Donut
Rating: A+
Everything is hand made. Kaya bun and doughnuts are soft and fluffy, bee hoon is in long strands, and curry puffs remained crispy for extended periods.
Bonus: Kudos for the friendly staffs there!

Round Boy Roasters
Where? 146 Jalan Bukit Merah
What I ordered: Iced Latte (Takeaway)
Rating: A+
They used to roast their coffee beans, and it smells so good even when they are closed. They still roast their coffee beans now, just that they do it off site. A small complain being the drinks are never ever filled to the brim in their takeaway cups. But it is one of the best coffee around. Definitely must try for coffee lovers.
Bonus: Staffs are extremely friendly, to a point it sometimes appear that everyone knows everyone there. The staffs are your friends there.

Lixin Fishball Noodles
Where? ION Food Court / Takashimaya Basement
What I ordered: Fishball Noodles
Rating: A+
Multiple outlets but the best 2 are in ION or Takashimaya. Prepare to queue for very long especially for the outlet in ION. The noodles are towards the sweeter side but the Yellowtail Fishballs compliments it very well. Their soup is formed by boiling hundreds and hundreds of fishballs daily, so the fishball soup would taste like fishballs. They are not awarded with Michelin Stars for no reason.
Bonus: Too delicious. Grade A do not do justice to the good food.

Chao Yuan Noodle
Where: Lucky Plaza, Level 6
What I ordered: Meatball Noodles
Rating: A
I like the meatballs. Its meat, unlike the fake ones that taste more like fishballs.
--
Wikedo Western
Where: Shaw House, Food Republic, beside Isetan
What I ordered: Spaghetti, some chicken cutlet as well.
Rating: C
3 times I ordered spaghetti from this stall, 3 times the noodles falls short. The noodles are bland, overcooked, or tasted wrong. The upside is that everything else seems fine. The chicken chop is good.
--
Korat Thai Cafe
Where: Orchard Towers, Level 3, hidden in a corner
What I ordered: Tom Yum Mama, Crispy Omelette
Rating: A
The boss of this place? The Muttons! Their Tom Yum is very strong, suits me. Believe it is also home made. But some people might find it a little too spicy and a little too sour. The pot has got many things thrown inside - prawns, pork, lime slices, meat ball, sotong, too many to list... Special mention to the omelette, its fried using a special technique that resulted in this super fluffy and soft omelette. Oily, though. Food portions are generous. Satisfaction guaranteed.
